Here's the first video in a series of VGM covers that I'll be producing this year! I thought 'Jenova' from Final Fantasy VII would lend itself well to a metal arrangement, so I changed out some of the synths in the OST version for strings, guitars and bass. During the second half I went for a "djent" variation, with the rhythm guitars playing off the intervalic structure that builds the melody. Let me know if you can hear the similarities!
